We are very pleased about receiving again 4 lilies by the Relax Guide 2011 because of our excellent services and offers above all in the Vital & Spa area but also in the whole hotel. The Relax Guide which gave us its highest award is already established as an appreciated Wellness leader on the market since 10 years and is known by our exacting guests.

The Green Bonnet

Our cuisine has been also awarded with a Green Bonnet for Austrian Natural & Health Cuisine.

The Styrian natural cuisine consists of mainly vegetable foods, if possibe of controlled local production as well as milk and dairy products. Meat and eggs from ecologically and animal-appropriate farms are the smaller part of the diet. The goal of a natural cuisine is to provide you with the appropriate amount of energy and at the same time with enough fibres for a healthy digestion, minerals and other trace elements, enzymes and non-saturated fats in their natural form. The difference of this natural cuisine to the regular mixed diet is that it avoids too much food processing as well as additives.

Falstaff Gourmet Guide

We are very proud, that our menu and service offer is placed again under the leading companies because of the evaluation of the Falstaff readers.

With our much valued cuisine, which we offer our hotel guests within half-board, we have for years the same level as very good, specialized à la carte restaurants, in which the basic conditions in relation to staff and seats are importantly different.

Golden Tealeaf of Gault Millau

Due to our dedication to serve our guests the best tea, our hotel has been awarded with the Golden Tealeaf.

Our guests can choose between 30 different tea brands, reaching from green tea, to herbal teas and different blends of fruit teas.

"Käse Affineur" 2006

This award stands for special achievements regarding the cheese culture in Austria. In our hotel the gastronomy is of high significance, and this includes also a wide range of different kinds of cheese. Over 60 different national and international specialities are offered in our vitrine daily.

Johann Lafer Award

Germans premier TV-chef and Embassador of Styria, Johann Lafer, awarded aready for the second time the best Lebens-Quelle-offers of the Steirischen Thermenland and East Styria for the year 2005.

3 hotels and one group of producers have received this special award. Also the STEIRERHOF was very pleased to get this year the famous glass sculpure, made by Karl Wilfinger.

Styrian Cachet

Within the scope of a ceremonial act the provincial governor Hermann Schützenhöfer awarded Bad Waltersdorf, the sports club and the Steirerhof after the fulfillment of all quality demands the cachet "International Football-Trainingscamp Styria". Since the existence of the new stadium numerous European teams, like Arsenal London, Borrussia Dortmund, Brescia or Werder Bremen have attended their trainingscamps in Bad Waltersdorf. The provincial governor Schützenhöfer complimented especially the uncomplicated teamwork between the sports club, Bad Waltersdorf and the 5-Star-Hotel "Der Steirerhof".
