Progressive muscle relaxation

A journey through your body during which specific individual muscle groups are tensed and then released to achieve a much better state of relaxation.

Abdominal breathing training with biofeedback

Abdominal breathing can be depicted using a computer program. This feedback enables you to learn conscious abdominal breathing.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is a method of energy work that has developed over the past thousand years (Qi=energy; Gong=work) that nurtures and cultivates body, mind and spirit. It activates, strengthens and regulates by harmonising the body, respiration and mental attitude. By performing the Qi Gong exercises, we direct all our attention to our body. The life force Qi starts to flow.

Spinal gymnastics

The spine has no bearing function. The musculature is there to support the spine. Stretching, strengthening and mobilisation are important components in maintaining mobility and stability.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi, like Qi Gong, is based on working with life energy. In Tai Chi several linked movements are performed to strengthen the life force from the inside out. This gentle and slow pugilistic sport, one of the Chinese martial arts, is based on working with life energy.

Strength training in the fitness studio

All muscle groups can be targeted and strengthened by using our fitness equipment. To achieve an optimal result, it is necessary to carry out the exercises precisely. Doing too much or too little or not setting the equipment correctly can have negative effects on the body.

Endurance and circuit training

Ergometer training and outdoor cycling are ideal for problems in the joint area of the legs (weight is borne by the bicycle, the level of exertion can be set individually).
In Nordic Walking - walking with sticks, which is gentle on the joints - uses almost all muscles. Ideal for tension in the shoulder and neck area, for stabilising the spine, fat burning....
Running is suitable for everybody who does not have joint problems and would like to train to build up stamina. Before undergoing any endurance sessions we recommend a fitness check-up beforehand, in order to diagnose any disorders of the cardiovascular system. Targeted and health-promoting training can only begin once we have the results of the test.
When you are swimming your body is horizontal in the water, taking the strain off your joints. However if breast stroke is not performed properly (head stretched out of the water, legs too deep in the water etc.) problems in the cervical spine and lumbar region will be exacerbated. It is much more suitable to do back-stroke or the crawl from the start. The correct breathing and good coordination can be learnt at any age.
