Enjoy spa & wellness in StyriaA spa is a place that offers a range of therapeutic, massage, cosmetic and bathing treatments. The word 'spa' is said to come from the Belgian town of Spa. Some also believe it derives from the initial letters of the Latin 'SANUS PER AQUAM', which means 'Health through Water'.

In addition to its well-know regenerative qualities, the Bad Waltersdorf spa water is also used to support the treatment of a range of ailments and complaints: exhaustion, stress, a weak immune system, cardio-vascular problems, inflammatory rheumatism (chronically inflammatory polyarthritis, gout), degenerative rheumatism (sciatic nerve pain, problems with slipped discs and spinal vertebrae, arthrosis, muscle pain), soft tissue rheumatism, diseases of the respiratory organs, follow-up treatment after injury and surgery on the musculoskeletal system. Sole waterSole is a salt-and-water solution. The word originates from the Latin word 'sal', which itself is derived from 'sol' or 'sole'. Salt and water are the building blocks of all life, and the human body itself is made up of these two elements. Sole treatments give back to the body exactly that oscillation frequency which is missing when the body is diseased or in disharmony. The presence of the crystalline structure of salt in the skin permits resorption into the body, a process that continues for up to 100 hours after a sole bath. Sole baths have a mild stimulating effect on the whole organism, they are good for blood circulation and activate the osmotic metabolism of the skin. They have shown to be particularly helpful during a wellness break, in support of treatment for:
Grander WaterNewly introduced at the Steirerhof is the 'Grander' method of revitalising water. Grander water flows from the drinking fountains in the swimming pool and in the sauna. The Grander revitalisation process changes the inner structure of water, enhancing its resistance, solvent power and information transport. Supporters of the Grander method notice that the revitalised water puts back the positive vital information which the body has been deprived of by drinking water low in energy and that the water is softer and has a better taste.
