»DAS KRANZBACH« Hotel & Wellness Retreat

A while ago we stumbled across a beautiful corner of the earth, near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the heart of the protected environment of Elmau Valley, nestling between the Zugspitze and the Wetterstein mountains. In this place our new sister hotel, »DAS KRANZBACH« Hotel & Wellness Retreat was built, in line with the tried-and-tested Steirerhof philosophy.

The existing building, integrated into the new hotel, has a very romantic look, much like an old English country manor. The new parts too - containing guest rooms and the Pool House with its 2,500 m² 'Wellness & Nature Spa Area' was designed to harmonise beautifully with the landscape. Guests can dip into five different steaming pools, inside and out, filled with the purest mountain water from the hotel´s own spring. They can forget the world outside entirely as they enjoy a relaxing massage or cosmetic treatments, regenerate their inner selves in front of a crackling log fire, or, wrapped in warm blankets, sit and drink in the calm and beauty of the majestic mountain panorama from the comfort of the hotel.

»DAS KRANZBACH« Hotel & Wellness Retreat, which boasts 130,000 m² of private mountain meadows, opened on 16 May 2007. Tucked away in the bosom of Mother Nature, »DAS KRANZBACH« is nevertheless easy to reach: it´s just 15 km from Garmisch, and around 100 km from Munich.
