The most "natural" sport

Running is a "natural" sport of man due to evolution. Run competitions have been around in the ancient Olympics, but only in the short distances. Although in ancient times the long distance as messenger runs, even the original marathon from Athens to Marathon (or from Athens to Sparta) were initially messenger runs, so was running back and forth in the stadium to avoid lapses. Even in the Middle Ages, endurance races were organized as messenger runs.
In modern sports, running is part of athletics and represented with numerous disciplines in the modern Olympic Games. In popular sports, there are also numerous web-racing competitions, in which participate almost only very ambitious recreational runners.
